چکیده
Purpose Shipping is a major source of air pollution, causing severe impacts on the environment and human health, greatly contributing to creation greenhouse gases influencing climate change. The research was investigated provide better insight into emission inventories in Red River Hanoi (Vietnam) that often heavily occupied as primary route for inner-city waterway traffic. Design/methodology/approach total emissions seven different pollutants (PM 10 , PM 2.5 SO x CO, CO 2 NO HC) were estimated using SPD-GIZ calculation model. Findings results show has most significant contribution gas volume emitted: 103.21 tons/day. Remarkably, bulk carriers are largest vehicle, accounting more than 97% emissions, due their superior number large capacity. Social implications result have roadmap making efforts fulfil its commitment so it could achieve net-zero target by 2050 Vietnam committed at COP26. Originality/value In this research, vehicles types vessels travelling flowing within territory other activity data reported. tally will be used estimate method combining both top-down bottom-up approaches.

Fate of Arsenic during Red River Water Infiltration into Aquifers beneath Hanoi, Vietnam
Recharge of Red River water into arsenic-contaminated aquifers below Hanoi was investigated. The groundwater age at 40 m depth in the aquifer underlying the river was 1.3 ± 0.8 years, determined by tritium-helium dating. This corresponds to a vertical flow rate into the aquifer of 19 m/year. Electrical conductivity and partial pressure of CO2 (PCO2) indicate that water recharged from the river ...
متن کاملA Reactivity Based Emission Inventory for the South Pars and Its Implication for Ozone Pollution Control
The South Pars zone in Iran encompasses the largest gas refineries and petrochemical complexes in the world. In the South Pars zone, elevated concentrations of reactive hydrocarbons co-emitted with nitrogen oxides from industrial facilities lead to substantial ozone production downwind. To understand the role of these emissions on the ozone formation and, to formulate appropriate control st...
متن کاملRegional and local emissions in red river delta, Northern Vietnam
Fine (PM(2.2)) and coarse (PM(2.2-10)) particles concurrently collected in urban (Hanoi) and rural (Lucnam) areas were analyzed for ionic and elemental compositions to provide input for PMF receptor modeling of emission sources in the Red River Delta (RRD), a key economic development region in Vietnam. Long-range transport (LRT) aerosol, coal fly ash from major coal-fired plants in RRD, and mar...
متن کاملThe wildland fire emission inventory: western United States emission estimates and an evaluation of uncertainty
Biomass burning emission inventories serve as critical input for atmospheric chemical transport models that are used to understand the role of biomass fires in the chemical composition of the atmosphere, air quality, and the climate system. Significant progress has been achieved in the development of regional and global biomass burning emission inventories over the past decade using satellite r...
متن کاملInvestigating the Impact of Driving Cycle on 3-way Catalyst Degradation and Emission Characteristics of ICEV
Internal Combustion Engine Vehicles or ICEVs play a major role in air pollution for big cities like Tehran. Catalyst converters manage to contain much of the generated pollution from combustion and are considered as a mandatory part of any vehicle. Manufacturer guidelines clarify a certain mileage for catalyst to be regarded as completely degraded and thus unable to contain harmful gasses from ...
